Wow... I move around a lot more than I realized when no one is around me...

I'd like to comment on 2 things that I saw. In the first match you mentioned switching to the priest because he was OOM. That may have been in part to me throwing viper stings to him whenever I got the chance, and without totems around to cleanse it automatically it generally ticks at least a few times (if not the whole duration) thanks to the paladin being preoccupied or CC'ed.

And that warrior, during the last fleeing moments of his life you can see an 11k flash of damage show up over his portrait. Hehe, <3 Kill Shot, even if 10.5k was overkill.

Moving around is good as long as it's putting you in a better position for things. ;) It's funny though: of the footage I did take (I didn't run FRAPs much, admittedly, I'd forgotten to clean out my Laptop in preparation so I only had about 10gigs free, and every video is 1-3), there were no decent matches where you got focused. O_o And by "decent matches" I mean ones where it was a good fight, not "lawl we gibbed that warlock in 5 seconds flat!"

Hopefully this next week I'll find more with Blade screaming for his/her life. ;)

And yeah, you getting the priest OOM definitely helped. When Miaw dropped I just went heavy CC mode to try to get them behind in healing, and like you said: if they don't have time to dispel it, the Priest's mana ticks away.

It was a damned nice recovery though, especially since we lost Miaw right out of the gate. :(

And good lord that Warrior got overkilled! I'm glad I was able to fit that into a video. XD

Hey Dreamspirit,

Just discovered your videos and site after a lucky YouTube search, and I can already tell I'll be coming back quite a bit. I'm a Resto druid just now starting to do arenas (545 resilience, zero experience), and this material is gold. :)

I do have one comment/suggestion though -- have you thought about doing a voiceover, instead of a wall of text at the beginning and captions in the middle?

For that matter, have you thought about making an audio recording of everything going through vent, and then syncing it to your video recording? Now THAT would be an education. :)

Cheers,
Wyrmrider (US-Eredar)

Thanks for the feedback, and I'm glad you've found my video(s) helpful!

Depending on hope much spare time I have to spare and how I want to approach a match determines how I "narrate" a video. I have done audio commentaries in the past (there are a few up on YouTube), and sometimes I use blocks of text, and other times leave the video as-is with just a music track. The audio commentaries take a lot longer to do, so I don't do them quite as often, but I definitely plan to do more. As far as Ventrilo recordings: recording video actually causes a decent amount of "lag" on my end, and recording audio at the same time only makes it worse, so you are unlikely to hear that sort of thing, but I will try to say a little bit more about my approach to matches in upcoming videos when I have the chance. :) There's definitely a lot going on.

I know there should be about four audio commentary videos I've done out there. Let me know if you have trouble finding them! I'm fairly certainly they are live not only on YouTube, but via FileFront as well. :)

Thanks for your support, and the best of luck in Season 5! :D
